Q. OK so what about the cost; you guys look expensive. Doing work for big companies like The Miami Herald; forget it I'm sure I can't afford you or can I?

A. Good point I'm so glad you asked that question. Sure getting great design work with SEO included seems like its got to cost a fortune but then who would hire us if we were too expensive? Wait I'm supposed to be answering not asking. OK here's the deal, big companies have committees to approve everything they do and they didn't get big by spending money like drunken patrons at a late night Miami club. I'm 100% certain you can find someone cheaper but a website at at 10% savings or even a 50% savings is no bargain if it doesn't help you make money. So this venture should earn my company a one time fee but it should help you earn a living for years to come. Think of it this way, if you needed heart surgery would you look for the cheapest open heart surgeon? You'd want the best because your life depends upon it and in this case the life of your business depends upon you finding the right company to work with. Q. I want a new website for my business because the one I have is so old and outdated but I don't have time to deal with this. How much time will I have to dedicate to building the new website?

A. Um wait a minute there seems to be some confusion, that isn't your job. Our job is to create a beautiful and professional graphic design for your new website. While we are working on the design our copywriter who has a master's degree in journalism will be writing the text for your new website. Once that is done then our programmer puts it all together and then we work on search engine optimization. We will have no less than four people working on your website. Your job is to run your business and our job is to make you look good online. This will not become a project for you to deal with; you'll only have to approve of our work, not participate in the work.

 

Q. OK this is starting to sound really good but a copywriter with a master's degree in journalism, come on this is going to cost a bundle of cash isn't it? Just give me a ballpark figure what are your prices for a basic website?

A. Well that brings up the question "What is a basic website?" and this is the part where I'm supposed to give answers not ask questions. When you buy a TV for example you can shop online and compare prices and you can go to dozens of stores too and compare the exact same TV set at store after store. Your decision is simple whichever store offers that exact model at the best price is the store that you should buy from. Everything we do is custom made so "basic" could mean something very different for you than it means for me. If you fill out the form and ask us for a price quote for a custom made website we are going to insist on meeting face to face so that we can gather info about your business and determine how we can best help you. It will be just like the old days when people communicated with each other before texting and emailing replaced face to face meetings; you'll enjoy the meeting it will be nostalgic. This meeting would take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours at our office (or yours) and when we are done we will understand your needs and will be able to give you a price. Don't worry, it is very unlikely that you'll need a bank loan for this. Really most business owners can afford us and are happy to do business with us so odds are good that you can afford us too!

 

Q. I'm a real estate agent and I want a new website. When someone searches for "home" or "house" or "real estate" I want them to find my website. What guarantee does your company offer that I'll be number one in the search engines.

A. Hahahaha. OK sorry, yes that's a very good question after all if nobody can find your website then what good is it? Oops I'm asking when I should be answering. OK so you want to rank at the top of all search engines based upon vague words; we have some links at the bottom of this page that go to companies that might take your money and give you that assurance. We prefer to discuss who your clients are and think about what they might be searching for and consider the competition that you have. Then we come up with realistic expectations and work towards getting your site to rank well with reasonable expectations. If you don't have much competition then maybe the search engine optimization we normally include when we build websites will be good enough to obtain the desired results. However, if your business competing with thousands of businesses around the country offering similar products and services then we would need to do an ongoing marketing campaign using social media. This is also known as social media marketing or web 2.0 marketing or viral marketing. For most of our clients the search engine optimization (SEO) we build into the website is all they need. But to answer the question about the guarantee, only the search engines themselves can guarantee where your website will rank for a given phrase. We can only show that we have a history of obtaining great results in SEO.

 

Q. I gave a guy a deposit to make a website for my business and now he doesn't return my calls or respond to e-mails how do I know you won't also just take my money.

A. Yeah you got me there; we might just take your money and then avoid your calls. Seriously we can't; for us that plan just wouldn't work out like it does with that guy you met somewhere who you can't find now. The problem with our business taking your money and not doing the work is that you can actually find us anytime you want. Maybe not 100% of the time but mostly from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday you could show up at our office. We can't move to a new location to hide from you either, well not easily we are in an office condo so we actually own our office space so we aren't going anywhere. So as much as we might be tempted (NOT) to take your money and run you'd find us and we don't like getting yelled at. OK someone might not see the humor here so I do have to state that taking your money and avoiding your calls while not doing the work would be ethically and morally wrong and we would never do that. Seriously the best answer is to look at who our clients are.
